No other facial flaw is more visible than dark circles under your eyes. They can make you look tired, even when you're not.
If you don't have enough time to get eight hours of sleep every night, you're not going to have enough time to give yourself a makeover every morning.
Don't let all those products confuse you. Channel 4 Action News anchor Michelle Wright said there are three simple, quick steps to make you look more awake.
1. Apply an illuminating eye cream.
"This way, you'll be moisturizing the delicate under-eye area and be adding light-reflecting qualities to it," makeup artist Sabrina Decarolis said. "You'll notice a difference just using this product."
2. Conceal.
"Two of the biggest mistakes I think people make are using too light of a concealer and also applying the product too heavily," Decarolis said.
What is the proper way to conceal? Forget that finger. A brush is great for blending and will ultimately make you look more natural.
"I'm applying a concealer with a concealer brush," Decarolis said. "This is important because it allows you to precisely place your product right where you need it, and then you can seamlessly blend it in. Focus right on the area you have darkness. I'm avoiding the area which, in a lot of us, tends to be puffy. If you put a highlighter of concealer there, you will accentuate it."
